By registering and checking the terms box and completing registration form, I confirm that:
You have read and agree to the Salsa Nation Terms of Service, Liability Waiver, and Media Release.
You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in dance, movement, crowd interaction, lighting effects, amplified sound, and event activities.
You understand that strobe lights, flashing lights, fog, lasers, and other lighting effects may be used, which may cause dizziness, disorientation, nausea, or trigger seizures or other medical conditions.
You certify that you do not have a medical condition that would be aggravated by strobe or flashing lighting, or you voluntarily choose to participate at your own risk.
You release and hold harmless Salsa Nation, its organizers, instructors, DJs, volunteers, partners, sponsors, production staff, and the hosting venue from any and all claims for injury, seizures, loss, damage, illness, disability, or death arising from participation.
You grant full permission for the use of your image, likeness, voice, and appearance in photo, video, and promotional content for marketing and social media, without compensation.
You confirm that you are physically able to participate and assume all medical responsibility.
You understand that all sales are final, and events may be modified, postponed, or canceled.
If you are registering a minor, you certify that you are the parent or legal guardian and accept full responsibility on their behalf.
You understand that checking the terms of service box constitutes your legal electronic signature under the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act) and is fully binding.
1. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Participant acknowledges and understands that participation in dance activities involves inherent risks including, but not limited to:
Slips, falls, collisions, strains, sprains, fractures
Physical exertion and fatigue
Contact with other participants
Equipment, flooring, lighting, and environmental conditions
Participant voluntarily assumes all risks, known and unknown, associated with participation in any Salsa Nation Event.
2. RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Participant, on behalf of themselves and their heirs, assigns, and personal representatives, fully releases and holds harmless:
Salsa Nation
Event organizers
Instructors, DJs, staff, volunteers
Venue owners and property managers
Sponsors, partners, and affiliates
from any and all claims, liabilities, injuries, damages, losses, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation in any Salsa Nation Event, including but not limited to:
Personal injury
Property damage
Illness
Emotional distress
Death
This release applies even if caused in whole or in part by negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
3. VENUE LIABILITY WAIVER
Participant agrees that:
The venue is provided “as is”
Salsa Nation and the venue are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property
Participant is responsible for their own behavior and actions at all times
Participant releases both Salsa Nation AND the hosting venue from all liability related to physical injury, accidents, or damages occurring on or around the premises before, during, or after the Event.
4. MEDICAL FITNESS
Participant confirms that they:
Are physically capable of participating in dance activities
Have no medical condition that would endanger themselves or others
Agree to stop participation immediately if experiencing dizziness, pain, or discomfort
Salsa Nation is not responsible for medical conditions that occur during participation.
5. CODE OF CONDUCT
Salsa Nation maintains a zero-tolerance policy for:
Harassment
Sexual misconduct
Aggressive behavior
Discrimination
Intoxicated or unsafe behavior
Salsa Nation reserves the right to remove any participant without refund for violations of conduct or safety policies.
6. PHOTO, VIDEO & MEDIA RELEASE
By attending a Salsa Nation Event, Participant grants Salsa Nation the irrevocable right and permission to:
Photograph
Film
Record audio or video
Use their name, image, likeness, voice, and appearance
for marketing, advertising, promotional, social media, broadcast, website, and commercial use, without compensation or further approval.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Social media posts
Website content
Promotional videos
Advertisements
Print marketing
Participant waives any right to inspect or approve the final product and releases Salsa Nation from all claims related to the use of such media.
7. MINORS
Participants under the age of 18 must have:
A parent or legal guardian’s consent
A signed waiver on file
A parent or guardian assumes all risk and liability on behalf of the minor.
8. REFUNDS & EVENT CHANGES
All ticket purchases and registrations are:
Non-refundable
Non-transferable, unless approved in writing
Salsa Nation reserves the right to:
Modify event schedules
Change instructors, DJs, or formats
Cancel or relocate events due to weather, safety, or unforeseen circumstances
9. ALCOHOL & INTOXICATION
If alcohol is present at any Salsa Nation Event:
Participant assumes all risks associated with consumption
Salsa Nation is not responsible for alcohol-related incidents, injuries, or legal issues
Intoxicated participants may be removed at staff discretion
10. INDEMNIFICATION
Participant agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Salsa Nation, the venue, and all affiliated parties from any claims, losses, damages, legal fees, or liabilities resulting from their participation or conduct.
11. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
12. AGREEMENT ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By attending a Salsa Nation Event, purchasing a ticket, registering online, or entering the venue, Participant confirms that:
They have read and understood this Agreement
They voluntarily accept all risks
They release Salsa Nation and the venue from all liability
They grant full media usage rights
This Agreement is legally binding.
